All of our classes are offered under a 3-month payment plan. The first payment is due immediately to register for a course. We may be able to offer more flexible plans on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us if this is of interest to you.
On occasion we offer partial scholarships to otherwise well qualified and enthusiastic students who have extenuating circumstances. These scholarships are not common. However, scholarships, work-study programs, or vocational training stipends are sometimes available through other community and civic organizations. We encourage students to explore these kinds of options prior to contacting Ordemy about scholarships.
All students will be required to sign a student agreement including release waiver prior to taking a class. The full terms of this agreement are replicated in the Terms and Conditions page of this site.

Courses & Certifications

Yes, those students taking the Ordemy OAP Permit Training Class can also register for the Ordemy OAP Additional Training. This gives students the opportunity to get more personalized hands-on experience with Orthodontic assisting prior to taking the California Dental Board OAP exam. While optional, the additional training is recommended.
Taking the Ordemy OAP Training Class will earn you an Ordemy certificate. However, you will still have to complete additional requirements to receive the OAP permit from the California Dental Board. The full requirements are available from the California Dental Board Site.
While each course has its own requirements (see the course pages), Ordemy courses are designed to be relatively short. Most are only a few days of in-class work, usually over a weekend. As such, we highly recommend that students plan to attend every class session. It will be very difficult if not impossible to maximize the value of your course investment or catch up if you miss a session.
While we don't have formal tests, as part of the learning process, your instructor may conduct informal quizzes to test your understanding and progress of course material. We make this a fun part of the overall learning experience. The OAP permit training class does however prepare students to take the formal California Dental Board OAP permit examination.
Although some of our instructors and staff are multi-lingual, all course content is currently offered in English only.
Students are required to have insurance for some courses. Please see the course-specific requirements on the course pages.

Career

Current Ordemy courses do not have a degree requirement. Anyone meeting the course-specific requirements can register for the course. Ordemy does not grant any kind of degrees. There may be additional degree requirements from the California Dental Board or prospective employers, including extra requirements for foreign degree holders.
Ordemy courses can be complimentary to other courses. However, all Ordemy courses are designed to be fully self-contained. Most classes are offered during weekends so as to minimize schedule conflicts with other school or employment activities.
At the current time, Ordemy does not guarantee any job or provide any formal placement services. We are however committed to the success of our students and may refer or recommend opportunities to students from time to time.
Most Ordemy in-person classes are conducted on weekends so as to minimize scheduling conflicts with employers. Please do check with your employer to ensure there is no conflict that might prevent you from registering for a course.

Opportunities

We believe that training with people you like and know can lead to a more enriching and rewarding learning experience. The Ordemy Student Referral Program is an incentive program that encourages students, both current and former, to refer other prospective students to our courses. Please contact us for full details.

Our students benefit tremendously by learning from others who have had similar experiences to them. As such, our classes often have teaching assistants in addition to our instructors. If you:

  • Have the Orthodontic Assistant Permit
  • Are already practicing as an orthodontic or dental assistant
  • Are a licensed dentist

and you would like to be a part of the Ordemy team, please contact us
